It's a good app, but it needs some tweaking. As far as the interface is concerned, it's fine.

A fantastic program which I've used and loved it since 2006. NeoFinder catalogs your drives, media, and the contents of disk images, ZIP files, etc. Now you can search the catalog to find what you want, discover where it is, and get information about disks, files, folders, and media files -- without needing to mount or open the item you're searching. Search is fast and powerful. NeoFinder is super useful if you've got + lots of files + lots of disks + removable media + unmounted virtual disks + disk images + archives (ZIP, Stuffit, etc.) + disconnected backup drives + remote backups Every night, my backup system Carbon Copy Clones my boot drive to a second hard drive. Every week, that hard drive gets swapped for another. Right before the swap, I use NeoFinder to catalog my backup disk, so I know exactly which files, folders, versions are on which backup disk without needing to mount the drives (or bring them back onsite). It's magic! NeoFinder is powerful, easy to use, and rock solid reliable. I've used it on a job that involved cataloging 16 million files on an 8TB HD, then repeatedly updated the catalog. It took a little while, but NeoFinder did the catalogs and updates without a hiccup. Superb programming, excellent user interface, rock-solid reliability, and first-rate documentation and support make this program a real winner.

I use CloudMounter so I can use Dropbox as an external drive and store all my photographs on it. Accessing the photographs is occasionally a problem when my Internet connection is slow. I use NewFinder to store the catalog locally so I will have instant access to my entire album. It works very well.
